Youth, Faith, & Family LGBTQ Youth Conference

For faith leaders, educators, parents, youth leaders, and students who want to make congregations more welcoming by supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and allied youth!

Sessions include:

Harm reduction & suicide prevention
Youth ministry outreach
Support for parents
Youth sharing their stories
“Breakthrough Conversations” training

Admission includes lunch:

$25 – General Admission
Free – Youth 18 and under

Save the date! You’re invited!

Here’s an opportunity for all of us from College Avenue–all ages!–to get our hands dirty, partnering with a great organization to make a difference in our community!

From 9am to 12pm on Saturday, September 17, we’ll be cleaning up the Tuolumne River at Legion Park by foot and canoe! This is a great way to get your friends and family out to enjoy nature in our community.

Meet at the church parking lot at 8:30am then we’ll carpool to the park. Bring a sack lunch so we can eat together after we’re finished!

Join us for our annual CROP Hunger Walk to benefit Church World Service and Modesto Interfaith Ministries.

We’ll meet at Geneva Presbyterian Church and walk either a 2 or 4 mile route. Dogs welcome.

Nutrition Presentation – Saturday, Feb. 5

Please come to a free presentation called “Nutrition: A Holistic Approach,” by our very own Linda Smith on Saturday, February 5!

The event starts at 9:30am with a free light breakfast of healthy foods. Linda, a nutritionist at Memorial Hospital as well as a diabetes educator, will present and lead a group discussion.

This is for all ages, young and old alike!

Our own College Avenue Healing Team will demonstrate a healing session following Linda’s presentation.

Please join The PLACE LGBTQ Youth Support Group as we celebrate our 1st Annual “Letting go of the Past or Present Bonfire Ceremony!” We will be serving soup and good company! Please bring an appetizer or dessert to share. This will be an alcohol free event!
