CROP Walk to feed the Hungry!

Millions of people die of hunger each year and CWS/CROP very efficiently distributes the funds we raise in our communities to provide help throughout the world to people in need. Twenty-five percent of funds that we raise in Modesto will remain at work here in our community through Inter-Faith Ministries.

The CROP Hunger Walk 2013 enables each of us to help – as a walker, a sponsor, or a supporter. We walk because the hungry must walk, often far and wide, to gather the most meager sustenance. During our four-mile (or two-mile) walk, we’ll be walking with as well as for those hungry people the world over.

If you’d like to be a sponsor, ask friends and loved ones to donate online at or give you or a sponsor a check written to “CWS/CROP” so their generosity will be counted this Saturday. We’ll begin with a short gathering/rally at 9:30am at the Geneva Presbyterian Church, Fairmont & Coffee Ave. (across from Downey High School), and the walk will begin at 10am. Click this link to check out the route.
