Festival of Gifts!

OUR ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF GIFTS RETURNS!

Children/youth ages 3 – 15 are invited to create handmade gifts for people they love!

Following a simple lunch (in a surprise location), a variety of gift projects will be available as well as a gift-wrapping station.

Families need to sign their children in, leave the scene so secrets can stay secret, and pick children up promptly at 1:15.

To volunteer to offer a gift project, assist in another way,  help with set-up or clean-up, or to have your questions answered, check in after worship on 11/27 or 12/4, or call Patti Canoles or Judy Brown (call office at 522-7244 for home phone numbers).

Hogwarts Comes to College Avenue!

Our annual inter-generational, all-ages Halloween party is scheduled for Saturday, October 15 from 3:30pm – 7:00pm!

This year, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is coming to College Avenue!

The Festival includes a Quidditch match, a welcome from Professor Dumbledore, free wooden wands from Ollivander’s Wand Shoppe, a sorting into the four Hogwarts’ houses, Hogwarts’ classes, and a Great Feast including butterbeer and pumpkin juice!

We strongly encourage young people and adult participants to dress in Hogwarts’ student attire (white shirt and tie) but it is not mandatory.  Death Eater or “He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named” costumes are not allowed.  Dark magic is absolutely forbidden, per Hogwarts school policy.

In order to guarantee that every participant has a space at the Great Feast (we ran out of space last year), please pick up your free Hogwarts Feast Tickets. You can reserve these tickets with an RSVP to studentministries.collegeavenue@gmail.com naming the number of adults and young people who will be participating! You can also pick them up on the Sundays leading up to the event.
